We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Kubernetes/Cloud Native Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our containerized application infrastructure using cutting-edge cloud-native technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications running on Kubernetes.
Job Requirements
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of containerization principles
- Helm chart development and management experience
- Experience (or eagerness to learn) with Istio service mesh
- Strong understanding of networking in Kubernetes
- Skilled in Python scripting
- Linux/Unix OS experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentd)
- Proficient in Git
- Excellent troubleshooting & communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Podman
- Orchestrate and automate deployments using Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain Helm charts for consistent deployments
- Implement and manage Istio service mesh for observability, security, and traffic control
- Troubleshoot containerization and orchestration issues
- Apply deep networking knowledge within Kubernetes: DNS, ingress/egress, load balancing, and more
- Build automation tools using Python
- Support dev teams in onboarding containerized apps
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
- Monitor and log with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentd
- Use Git for infrastructure-as-code version control
- Contribute to containerization and orchestration best practices
- Stay updated on the latest in Kubernetes and cloud-native tech
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with Podman and rootless containers
- Exposure to other cloud-native technologies
- Contributions to open-source
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
