The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and performance of our mineral-based products for coatings applications.
Job Responsibilities
1. Quality Control & Testing:
- Conduct physical, chemical, and performance testing of calcium carbonate and talc powder to ensure they meet specifications for paint and coatings applications.
- Perform particle size distribution analysis, brightness & whiteness testing, oil absorption, and moisture content analysis.
- Evaluate rheological properties (viscosity, flow behavior) of paints and coatings formulated with our minerals.
- Conduct wet and dry dispersion testing to assess compatibility and stability in different paint formulations.
- Ensure batch-to-batch consistency in mineral filler production and recommend process adjustments when necessary.
2. Process Optimization & Product Development:
- Work closely with R&D and production teams to enhance the performance of calcium carbonate and talc in various coatings systems (water-based, solvent-based, powder coatings, etc.).
- Troubleshoot issues related to pigment and filler dispersion, sedimentation, and drying in coatings formulations.
- Conduct comparative studies on our materials versus competitors’ products.
- Provide technical support to customers on the proper use of calcium carbonate and talc in coatings formulations.
- Collaborate with clients and R&D teams to develop customized solutions for specific coatings applications.
