Job Description
Job Purpose:
To lead the internal audit function across the group by evaluating internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with policies and procedures. The Internal Audit Manager provides assurance to senior management and recommends improvements to enhance operational efficiency and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
- Lead and perform operational, financial, and compliance audits across the group.
- Ensure audits are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.Internal Control & Risk Management
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Identify and assess business risks and test risk mitigation procedures.
- Monitor corrective actions and follow up on audit findings.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Present audit results to senior management and recommend actions.
- Communicate with external auditors and regulatory bodies when needed.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Support corporate governance efforts and whistleblower mechanisms.
- Maintain audit documentation and standards in line with IIA guidelines.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity organizations is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple audits and deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Completion rate of audit plan on schedule.
- Number of repeat findings or audit issues.
- Timeliness of audit reporting and follow-up.
- Management satisfaction with audit recommendations.
- Compliance with internal audit standards.
