Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer specialized in dental clinic equipment to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and technical support of dental equipment and devices, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair dental equipment including dental chairs, imaging systems, autoclaves, suction units, and other clinical devices.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks on all dental technology.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site or remote support to clinic staff.
Ensure all equipment is functioning according to manufacturer specifications and health safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, and equipment histories.
Collaborate with dental clinic staff to assess equipment needs and recommend technology upgrades or replacements.
Support procurement processes by evaluating vendors and technical specifications of dental devices.
Stay updated with advances in dental technologies and relevant regulatory standards.
Provide training and technical guidance to clinical staff on the proper use and care of dental equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of dental clinic systems and biomedical regulatory standards.
Hands-on experience with dental imaging (e.g., panoramic X-ray, intraoral cameras), sterilization units, and digital dentistry technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in medical equipment servicing or manufacturer-specific training.
Knowledge of infection control and healthcare compliance regulations.
Experience in training clinical staff on biomedical equipment.
Job Requirements
- 3 + years of experience solid in a biomedical engineering role, preferably with a focus on dental equipment
- Bachelors degree in related field
