Job Description
Audit Planning and Execution:
• Assist in the development of risk-based internal audit plans in collaboration with the Internal Audit Manager.
• Execute internal audit engagements, ensuring adherence to audit scope, objectives, and methodologies.
• Perform detailed testing and evaluation of internal controls to assess compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Supervision and Team Support:
• Provide guidance and supervision to audit team members during audit assignments.
• Review work papers and audit reports prepared by team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with audit standards.
• Support the professional development of team members through training and mentorship.
3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
• Contribute to the assessment of key business risks.
• Review developed strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure adequacy to improve overall risk management processes.
4. Audit Reporting:
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.
• Communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders and ensure that recommendations are clearly understood.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
• Collaborate with the different functions to clearly understand audit objectives and requirements.
• Foster effective communication with key stakeholders to address concerns and provide insights into the audit process.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, audit standards, and emerging trends in internal audit.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the internal audit function.
Job Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent are advantageous.
- 7 to 10 years of auditing experience in either professional accounting firms or FMCG environments. (preferably in a multi-national or prestigious regional or local organization), with at least four years in a supervisory role. Candidates with prior audit experience in either professional audit firms or industry will have a distinct advantage
- A good understanding of ERP (oracle) and IT-related business applications.
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts and risk management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent command of Spoken and written English & Arabic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of audit tools and data analytics.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
