Job Description
- Develop and implement operational plans for the transportation fleet in line with the company’s overall objectives.
- Supervise vehicle allocation and route planning to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Monitor the technical condition of the fleet and coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Oversee driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and traffic regulations.
- Organize and manage schedules for deliveries, pickups, and vehicle dispatch.
- Monitor fuel consumption and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Address and resolve any operational challenges or emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and submit regular operational reports to senior management.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with other departments (Sales, Warehousing, Finance, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation or fleet operations, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with traffic laws and occupational safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
