Job Description

Role Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the Supply Chain functions including demand/supply planning, procurement activities, inventory management, Logistics, distribution, and warehousing operations. candidate will assure continuous and adequate supply of products and will liaise between all internal and external stakeholders to assure achieving the organization objective through managing supply chain activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing end to end supply chain management’ activities
  • playing a central role between Commercial, Finance, Production, Regulatory, Quality and all concerned internal department to facilitate the supply chain department objectives.
  • Collaborate with regional internal departments to assure process alignment.
  • Oversees supply chain and operations strategy in order to maximize efficiency and cost optimization within supply chain and operations functions.
  • Preparing forecast per SKU and developing demand planning process in coordination with concerned departments.
  • Drive supply and inventory plans aligned with business plans to achieve the targets and minimize goods shortage risk.
  • Analyze current processes and suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Management of importation, customs, freight forwarding activities and coordination with relevant third parties.
  • proactively monitor the performance of the external vendor/supplier and take appropriate action to overcome any deviation.
  • Manage sourcing, purchasing, and importing the active pharmaceutical ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs department to fulfil the requirements for materials and pilot batches for stability studies to finalize the new products registration.
  • Develop ways to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Seeks to improve all aspects of the supply chain and operations by reviewing current processes and recommend enhancement.

Job Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years’ experience with people management
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated ability to lead effectively and drive results.
  • Post graduate studies in Supply Chain is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Previous experience in using SAP supply chain modules.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including fluency in English language
