Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial operations specific to the Mortgage financing sector.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor and report on cash flow, budgets, and expenditures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business operations.
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of Accounting, Auditing experience (experience in Mortgage or financial services is a plus).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Financial understanding of P&L and business case development.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Great Plans “G.P”, FLL, or similar).
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
