SummaryExecute engineering design projects to provide reliable and cost-effective solutions by developing new tools or sustain the existing tools and products for downhole applications in the oil and gas industry. The product lines include Wellbore Departure, Well Abandonment, Thru Tubing and Fishing. The Engineer’s responsibility will be performing tasks such as conceiving and implementing design improvements, feature enhancements and size additions in a timely manner, as requested by the product line management to support sustaining and continuous growth. This includes producing engineering CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations and conducting analyses, and validating the designs with tests, when needed. Additionally, the Engineer will lead/assist in product troubleshooting and support manufacturing and field-testing activities, as required.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, develop, maintain mechanical downhole tools. Generate engineering product files including CAD models, assembly layouts, and component drawings. Use established design tools and standards to complete the engineering activities. Perform standard engineering calculations related to specific design projects. Produce advanced analyses and mathematical models, as required, and draw design conclusions. Prepare engineering test plans and reports. Create and maintain accurate and complete product maintenance and operational documentationPrepare technical presentations for internal/external clients. Multi-task as required to handle multiple projects concurrently. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement and Field personnel, as required. Provide timely, corrective actions on all assigned manufacturing defects and field issues. Consistently produce quality work and participate in design/peer reviews, as required. Attend field runs and visit service shops to provide product technical support. Minimum RequirementsSaudi National preferredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is requiredOil & Gas experience is essential3-5 years related design and product development experience, preferably in downhole toolsExperience with 3D CAD is required, preferably in Pro/ENGINEER Creo or equivalent. Strong communication skills, which include verbal and written.
