One of JobIn Clients is looking for!!DescriptionA Highly-Regarded Corporation Based In Dubai Is Currently Hiring Head Of Legal And Compliance.Responsibilities:Legal Strategy and Risk Management: Developing and implementing a comprehensive legal strategy to mitigate legal risks and protect the organization's interests. This may involve identifying potential legal issues, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with leadership to develop solutions.Corporate Governance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This may involve tasks like managing compliance programs, developing policies and procedures, and liaising with regulatory bodies.Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiating, reviewing, and approving contracts with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders. You'll ensure contracts are legally sound and align with the organization's best interests.Litigation Management: Overseeing and managing any legal disputes or lawsuits involving the organization. This may involve working with external legal counsel to develop defense strategies and represent the company in court.Legal Advice and Counsel: Providing legal advice and counsel to the CEO, executive team, and other departments across the organization on various legal matters.Legal Department Management: Leading and managing the legal department, overseeing legal staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient operations.Staying Up-to-Date on Legal Developments: Continuously monitoring and staying informed about changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact the organization. SkillsMinimum of 10-15 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, with some experience in a leadership roleA deep understanding of business practices and the industry the organization operates inExperience in a similar leadership role as Head of Legal or General CounselProven track record of successfully managing legal risks and resolving legal challengesExperience in specific legal areas relevant to the industry (e.g., intellectual property law, contracts law, regulatory compliance)
