Job Description

Job Summary:Oversee the effective management of maintenance activities and construction projects to ensure functionality, safety, and sustainability.Main Responsibilities: 1. Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.2. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with machinery and equipment to minimize disruptions to production or operations.3. Maintenance Planning: Developing and implementing maintenance schedules, plans, and procedures to ensure that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.4. Spare Parts Management: Managing inventory levels of spare parts and equipment components to ensure availability for maintenance activities and minimize delays.5. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities to maintain a safe and productive work environment.6. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance schedules, to track equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.7. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.8. Training and Development: Providing training and guidance to maintenance technicians and operators on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to ensure competency and skill development.9. Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities, procure necessary resources, and achieve maintenance objectives.10. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency maintenance situations, such as equipment breakdowns or safety hazards, to minimize disruptions and ensure prompt resolution of issues.11. Project Planning: Collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to develop maintenance plans and schedules for new construction projects, ensuring that maintenance requirements are integrated into the project timeline and budget.12. Equipment Specification: Providing input on equipment selection, specifications, and procurement for new construction projects to ensure that equipment meets maintenance requirements and standards.13. Commissioning: Participating in the commissioning process for new construction projects, including equipment installation, testing, and start-up, to verify functionality and readiness for operation.14. Maintenance Input: Providing technical expertise and input during the design and construction phases of projects to ensure that equipment and systems are designed and installed to facilitate efficient maintenance and operation.15. Construction Oversight: Monitoring construction activities related to equipment installation, piping, wiring, and other mechanical and electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.16. Quality Assurance: Conducting inspections and quality checks on construction work to verify compliance with project requirements, identify defects or deficiencies, and ensure that work meets industry standards and best practices.17. Safety Planning: Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and protocols for construction activities to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.18. Documentation Management: Maintaining accurate documentation of construction activities, including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, test reports, and inspection records, to support ongoing maintenance and future projects.19. Training and Handover: Providing training and instruction to operations and maintenance staff on new equipment, systems, and procedures during project commissioning and handover to ensure smooth transition and effective operation.20. Post-Construction Support: Providing ongoing support and assistance to operations and maintenance teams following project completion, including troubleshooting, warranty support, and coordination of maintenance activities.Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/civil/ electromechanical or related field.Additional certification in maintenance management or related field is a plus.3-5 years’ experience in same role 2-3 years’ Experience with ERP systemsExpert in Arabic and English
