Job Description

Job Title: Petroleum EngineerLocation: Saudi ArabiaDepartment: EngineeringReports To: Senior Petroleum Engineer ManagerJob Summary: As a Petroleum Engineer at Aramco, you will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive studies in various areas of Petroleum Engineering, providing technical guidance, and contributing to operational improvements and policy development. This role requires a seasoned expert with a deep understanding of production engineering in the upstream oil and gas industry.RequirementsKey Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic Development and Coordination: Develop and coordinate major studies based on managements objectives, including initiating and directing technical work and presenting findings to Management and Owner Company technical personnel. Technical Consulting: Serve as a technical consultant to Management and engineering teams, offering guidance on budget studies, development programs, reservoir studies, equipment purchases, and more. Operational Review and Reporting: Review the performance of Aramco Petroleum Engineering and Oil Operations activities, reporting on efficiency and recommending improvements or new directions. Policy and Procedure Consultation: Prepare policy recommendations concerning data and information scope provided to the Saudi Arabian Government and external agencies. Research and Technological Advancements: Stay updated on global engineering and operational advancements, recommending technologies that can enhance Aramco’s operations. Team Leadership and Training: Review the work of engineers on projects, assist in training new engineering personnel, and ensure the professional development of the team. Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 7 years as a production engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry. Technical Skills:Proficient in PE software applications (e.g., flow simulation, tubing movement, nodal analysis). Experienced in electric submersible pump design, installation, and troubleshooting. Well integrity diagnosis, including corrosion logging analysis. Production optimization, stimulation and fracturing treatments. Oil, water, and gas scale prevention and treatment. Well interventions design and execution for both oil and gas wells. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of making technical presentations and writing detailed reportsBenefitsPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering.
