Job Description
Job Purpose
Lead real-world validation of foundation brakes (rotors, calipers, pads, hydraulics) AND brake control systems (ABS/ESC/TCS) through vehicle-level simulation Management and testing Management, ensuring compliance with performance and safety targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Engineering Service Providers for calibration, development and validation of control algorithms and diagnostics to meet Brake and Brake control system requirements and performance targets on vehicle level
Collaborate with CAE, Chassis & Powertrain dev.
Teams and their related system suppliers
Establish calibration environment virtually (MIL, DIL) and in vehicle
Managing Foundation Brake and Brake NVH development and testing
Development and Evaluation of Brake pedal feel
Enable self-organizing, empowered teams to deliver product on-time with quality executions in an agile framework
Implement and support agile principles and practices, identifying and eliminating impediments, and facilitating flow
Mentor, coach, and develop employees and their careers
Establish and monitor budget for responsible activities
Execute resource planning for required activities
Willingness to travel worldwide for testing activities
Education
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in automotive/mechanical/Electronic/Software/System Engineering from a recognized school or university
Skills & Competencies
Excellent multi-functional communication, presentation and leadership skills - able to get multiple global teams which are geographically dispersed moving in the same direction
Working knowledge of embedded controls development toolchain, with tool experience, like VI Grade or Carmaker, Matlab, Simulink, Diadem, CANApe or similar application
High level of driving and evaluation skills
Knowledge of EV Brake & Brake Controls development processes from feasibility to SOP
Minimum Experience
Minimum 6+ years of engineering experience related to Foundation Brake and Brake control system, calibration, related hardware development
Demonstrated ability to: achieve results through effective teamwork, lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion, and manage and measure work through metrics, data, and results

Job Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required along with a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience in brake systems.
