Senior Azure Architect

OverviewAs a Sr. Azure Architect, you will be a key player in designing and implementing robust cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform and will also manage and mentor a team of Solution Architects, ensuring their work is managed appropriately, and delivered to the required quality and consistency across the portfolio of work. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, infrastructure, and best practices, coupled with strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a leader in cloud architecture, you will contribute to the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions that align with business objectives.ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design:Design end-to-end Azure-based solutions, considering scalability, security, performance, and reliability.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Azure Infrastructure Management:Implement and manage Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.Optimize resource utilization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and performance.Security and Compliance:Enforce security best practices in Azure environments.Collaborate with security teams to implement and monitor compliance measures.Migration and Integration:Plan and execute migration strategies for on-premises applications to Azure.Integrate Azure services with existing on-premises or third-party solutions.Automation and DevOps:Implement automation scripts and templates for resource provisioning and management.Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and ensure streamlined deployment processes.Performance Monitoring and Optimization:Establish and implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of Azure resources.Optimize Azure workloads for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.Experience in Leading and Managing:Lead the analysis and design of IT solutions, considering the business requirements, existing systems, internal and industry standards.Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, analysts, and other IT professionals to deliver solutions that meet the business objectives and expectations.Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools for the solutions, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and reliability.QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.15 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a proven track record of successfully implementing cloud solutions in a complex enterprise environment.Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Jason, Java, Python, and Git workflows.Strong expertise in Azure cloud platforms, including a deep understanding of various cloud services and capabilities.Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, identity and access management, and network security in the cloud.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.Vendor certifications such as TOGAF, CKA, Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Cloud Professional Cloud Architect preferred
