Solution Architect

OverviewPresight is looking for a Solution Architect who will play a pivotal role with our Smart City products and offerings, focusing on presales and solution design. This dynamic professional will work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements, translate these needs into comprehensive solution requirements, and craft responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, smart city initiatives, and the ability to deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-centric solutions.The OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity to develop exciting smart city offerings for our customers and gain experience in the fastest growing smart city technology field. The role of the Solution Architect is to design IoT reference architecture, technology selection, and vendor evaluation to help in creating effective, scalable, secure, and innovative smart city used cases for our customers. With its world-class computer vision, AI and omni-analytics platform as its engine, Presight leverages all-source data to support insight-driven decision making that shapes policy and creates safer, healthier, happier, and more sustainable societies.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesEngage with clients to comprehensively understand their smart city initiatives, challenges, and objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams & partners to design tailored IoT solutions that align with clients' goals and technical specifications.Designing and developing hands-on IoT architecture to integrate into various smart city use cases such as Energy, transportation, public safety, and environmental management etc.Working with cross-functional teams, conducting research on new IoT technologies and trends, and evaluating the feasibility of various solutionsAnalyzing and assessing technology requirements, including IoT devices, sensors, cloud computing, and data analytics, to ensure the effective implementation of IoT solutions.Evaluating the technical capabilities, reliability, scalability, and security of new technologies and vendors..Understanding the specific needs and requirements of different smart city use cases such as Smart Grids, Smart Parking, Command and control center and other IoT Offerings.Create all the necessary technical, sales collaterals and process documentation for the new smart city service offerings to enable our sales team and support our GTM strategy.Defining and implementing security protocols and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information across all use cases.Keeping abreast of emerging IoT technologies and industry trends and recommending technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.Collaborating with other stakeholders, including procurement, legal, and security teams, to ensure proper due diligence and risk assessment is conducted.Conduct research and gather information about the technology and vendor, review whitepapers, case studies, and other relevant materials.Try out a demo, pilot program or a free trial if available, and test the product in a real-world scenario.Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.QualificationsTo qualify, you must haveBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management (or other related technology degree) or equivalent field experience.Minimum 10 years experience, out of which 5 years in designing and implementing IoT solutions for smart cities or similar projects.Hands-on technical knowledge and experience in IoT products both enterprise grade IoT platforms such as Cummolicity, PTC and open-source platforms like Thingsboard, KAA etc.Strong understanding of IoT technology, including IoT architecture, protocols, and security.Deep understanding of Edge computing, communication protocols likeExperience with Network protocols like MQTT, COAP, BACNET etc. and Network InfrastructureDeep understanding of Digital Twins & Artificial intelligence and how these integrate with IoT solutions.Knowledge of cloud computing, data analytics, and network infrastructure.Familiarity with IoT programming languages and software development methodologies.Experience in creating applications on top of IoT platform.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goalStrong project management, time management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExpert in creating solution architecture diagrams and sales collaterals etc.What we look for: If you are a performance-driven, inquisitive mind with the agility to adapt to ambiguity, you will fit right in.
