Procurement Manager

This position will be based in Dubai under the Finance and Operations (F&O) department. You will directly report to the F&O Director.

The Position

As a Procurement Manager, you will drive and manage multiple sourcing projects for indirect spend categories in the United Arab Emirates while supporting other regions. Furthermore, you will closely collaborate with the functional procurement manager of BAMEAC (Business Area Middle East, Africa & CEM) sitting in Istanbul as well as Novo Nordisk shared services teams to ensure a good strategic alignment and efficient procurement operations.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• You will be conducting supplier research, selection, negotiation, and contracting to develop win/win sourcing strategies

• You will be gathering business requirements and analyzing spending data to provide insights to departments ‘heads and identify savings opportunities

• You will be ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls as well as providing reporting on procurement performance

• You will be striving to improve end-user experience through the implementation of e-forms and catalogues as well as conducting trainings regularly

• You will be managing third-party risk and driving the sustainability agenda with our supplier base

Qualifications

As a Procurement Manager, you need to have proven experience in procurement, including supplier management, negotiation, and contract administration. In addition, you need to have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

To be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Business; Postgraduate or master’s degree is a plus

• 3 – 5 years of experience in Procurement in the FMCG or Pharma industry within a multinational organization

• Proven experience in procurement, including supplier management, negotiation, and contract administration

• Proficiency in English both written and spoken

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decision-making.

About the Department

The Finance & Operations (F&O) department's mission is to work closely with all business units and departments to ensure optimal planning and deployment of the company’s resources as well as maintain a close collaboration with Products Supply (PS) and our distributor to ensure product availability for our patients.

As such, some of F&O's core processes include running strategic financial planning, supply chain, reporting & analysis, accounting, and day-to-day financial transactions, procurement as well as digital data & IT.
