JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are currently looking for Logistics Manager for managing customs & pricing of ocean freight for our organization.
  
• As the Logistics Manager, you will oversee the entire operations and financial performance of the logistics department. You will manage the procurement of ocean freight and efficiently manage customs clearance, procurement of cross border and local transport from local vendors. You will also manage inhouse fleet of trucks.
  
• This position will be directly reporting to the General Manager.
  

KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:

• Managing logistics matters Supervision of logistic team (warehouse manager, logistic agents).
  
• Building relationships with all Government Authorities.
  
• Relationships with Service Providers (Freight Forwarder, Customs Brokers, Trucking) & Carrier relationships (Air and Ocean).
  
• Handle MENA Duty exemptions, Dangerous Goods permits.
  
• Managing Temporary Import duty refunds for all export transactions meeting criteria of Logistics Audit and Compliance.
  
• Ensure the operation are in line with the company policies in term of Trade Compliance.
  
• Managing and coordinating the export of goods via sea freight and Negotiating contracts and rates with shipping carriers.
  
• Handling documentation, such as bills of lading and export permits. Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Resolving any issues or delays that may occur during the shipping process.
  
• Coordinate the export of goods by sea. This includes booking space with shipping lines, arranging for pickup and delivery of cargo, and preparing and submitting all required documentation.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in the automobile import and export industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
  
• Leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
  
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for logistics and supply chain management.
  
• With a minimum of 3yrs. work experience in Freight Forwarding (Sea) - Senior or Supervising level.
  
• Excellent knowledge in Freight Forwarding operations.
  
• Negotiation skills and ability to maintain good rate tariffs with Shipping Lines.
  
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation.
  
• Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
  
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  
• Good time management skills are essential, especially the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline.
