Swissôtel is part of AccorHotels, a world-leading travel and lifestyle group which invites travellers to feel welcome at more than 4,500 hotels, resorts and residences, along with some 10,000 of the finest private homes around the globe.Job DescriptionReporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceEnsures all work follows safe work practices and fire proceduresResponds immediately to all work requests which concern Health and SafetyEnsures environmentally friendly practices are followed when handling chemicals and refrigerantsResponds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous mannerMaintains and repairs all kitchen and laundry equipment and related appliancesEnsures the optimum performance of all kitchen and laundry equipment by effectively following the preventive maintenance and the shift readings programsEvaluates and appropriately responds to equipment usage and energy efficiencyCompletes all work orders with due diligenceMaintains a daily log book highlighting problems and solutions; and activitiesMaintain all kitchen and laundry shop drawingsMaintain equipment catalog and tagging directoriesActively participates in the monthly departmental meeting by providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvementMaintains health and safety documentation and records for the assigned areaReports and documents potential safety hazardsParticipates as directed in the emergency response teamQualificationsPrevious experience is an assetMinimum 2 years experience as a service technician in hospitality industryProficient in appliance and refrigeration repair and maintenance plus basic knowledge of one other building operations skill setThe ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications and make rough estimates of required materials
