Specialist - IT System Administration

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. The Senior IT System Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our systems and networks.Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on our capabilities as sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, we bring generative AI, cybersecurity, professional and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.Responsibilities System Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and related hardware and software systems.Manage and optimize the performance of IT systems to meet business requirements.Security And ComplianceImplement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Troubleshooting And SupportProvide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless IT operations.Collaborate with the helpdesk and support teams to address escalated technical challenges.Infrastructure PlanningParticipate in the strategic planning and development of the IT infrastructure.Evaluate and recommend technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.Backup And RecoveryImplement and manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard critical data.Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.Collaboration And CommunicationWork closely with cross-functional teams to understand IT requirements and provide effective solutions.Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a System Administrator, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role. In-depth knowledge of Windows server environments. Experience with Azure and M365 technologies, including Active Directory and security related tools Proficiency in networking protocols, security principles, and infrastructure management. Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks. Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
