Account Manager

Summary:



Responsible for developing long-term relationships with assigned customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Must work as liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. Values teamwork and serves as an extension of the Project Director to the client and internal teams.

Essential Functions:



Single point of contact for coordinating all dealer activities, services, orders, and personnel for each assigned account. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Provide timely response to customers' requests for products, services, and /or quotes for additional furniture solutions. Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Clearly communicate the progress of daily/weekly initiatives to Project Director. Forecast and track key account metrics. Identify and grow opportunities within customer base to ensure growth attainment. Maintain comprehensive understanding of customer's needs, corporate goals, business practices and satisfaction/ performance criteria. Oversee customer projects and work orders; directs dealer team for implementation of customer orders and services requests while keeping the Project Director informed. Review work plans, schedule and logistics established for customer's major projects. Oversee work of all team members, including designers, project managers, installations managers, customer’s representatives/ project coordinators, installation crews, etc. Provide frequent and regular status reports to customer regarding project and work order status. Attend project and account meetings as necessary. Work with services departments to develop service contracts to present to customer when complex services are sold (design for instance) or for major projects (installation, design, project mgmt.) Ensure a responsible close of sale by obtaining signed sales orders (and terms & conditions, if appropriate) client purchase orders and deposits as required. Work collaboratively with client and client’s third-party firms, including A&D firms, interior contractors, electrical and communication engineers, customers IT group, etc. Manage team assignments to ensure workload activities are appropriately balanced and supported. Establish costs and sell amounts for all account products and services, based on contract pricing, gross margin guidelines and established services pricing, is responsible for "cost of sale" against account purchases. Ensure documentation standards are maintained for all account activities, ensures dealership process and procedures are followed. Responsible for marketing full range of dealerships products and services to customer Identify account penetration opportunities for additional after sale product or services to customer.

Competencies:



Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. Proficient in office computer software use (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Excellent time management skills. Handle multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Project a professional demeanor as well as using tact when dealing with others. Excellent organizational skills required. Work Successfully in a team environment Understanding of dealer systems such as CAP, CORE and Giza

Education & Experience:



Two-year degree in interior design, construction and/or furniture; specifically around customer service, solution development and opportunity coordination, or related field and 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions:



General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
