Strong technical accounting and team management experience is essential.Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Head of Finance for KSA, this candidate will be technically strong and will have responsibility for supporting the business operation, ensuring conflicting pressures and heavy workloads are managed appropriately. They will be a strong team player with experience of managing and developing teams.The role will require frequent interaction with the senior management to ensure objectives are aligned, therefore strong communication skills are required.The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a 10 years post-qualification experience and at least 5 years’ experience managing a diverse, multi-cultural teams.Core Behavioural SkillsConfident individual with good interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels and communicate clearlyTeam development focus and a team playerMust be inquisitive and challenge existing processGood organisational skills, used to managing and prioritising both own and others workloadQualificationsAccountingEnsure accounting records are maintained, accurately reflecting the management accounting position. Scrutinizing, challenging and rectifying variances.Turner & Townsend operates within a SOX Compliance framework and the successful candidate will ensure controls are followed with relevant corrective action then being taken.The candidate should have experience of annual statutory audits, experience of annual IKTVA (In Kingdom Total Value Add) is an advantage but not essential.The company is a collection of several Projects, and the successful candidate should have project accounting experience to ensure Project Profitability is managed along with Work In Progress (WIP) reports.ReportingDeliver clear & accurate reporting to timetable. Working closely with Commission Leads and the Finance Leads to ensure Management Accounts, Financial Packs & Forecasts are as accurate as possible.The Saudi business is expanding significantly; therefore, cash flow management is a high priority.Debt management - the candidate will work closely with the UK debt collection team and the Saudi operation to maintain positive cash.Critically appraise Project Profitability and Project WIP.Supporting the monthly Income Statement and Cash flow forecasting and annual budgeting process. Close liaison with Commission Managers for Income Statement and cash collection objectivesLeadership and ManagementThe successful candidate should exhibit the behaviours of a future leader. It is vitally important this candidate engages with the business and has an outgoing personality. Open communication with senior Managers and Leaders within the KSA business is essential and it is important this individual is seen as a source of knowledge and support to the business operation.Working closely and managing the local finance team and engaging with the Dubai Finance team will also be an essential part of the role. Some Finance employees require professional development, and it is expected this candidate can support the development and coaching.TaxKnowledge and experience of GCC tax laws and practices is an advantage but not essentialProviding support to the Group Tax manager, based in the UK and providing support to the Financial Controller, based in the UAE.Governance & ComplianceSaudi Arabia is a fast-growing business, and the successful candidate will need to ensure policies and approved process are adhered to and followed. Knowledge and experience of SOX compliance governance would be a significant advantage.Supporting analysis and audit of local expenditure, facilitating In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) submissions sand annual auditsAdditional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
