About the job:In this interesting role you will be working in our Logistics/Workshop & Transportation Team.Some of the responsibilities include:Manage day to day transport operation/activities, approvals, communications with various Projects, division, Joint Ventures, Sub- contractors etc.Ensure availability of plants and equipment to various sites by maintaining/repairing them on time.Co-ordinate all activities with various departments and investigate the operation in all respects of the Divisions.Analyze and adjust work schedules, solve production problems, handle quality issues, and manage interactions with various departments.Manage company vehicles & equipment’s, coordinating maintenance and upgrading when necessary.Introduce new methods to carryout preventive maintenance to minimize break-down hours of plant and equipment.Prepare budget for the financial year and manage operation within the budget.Prepare loss & profit account of plant division by considering the total cost and revenue generated.Arrange necessary resources to meet project deadlines and client's requirements.Communicate effectively with the transport team.Set SMART objectives for improve division performance.Attend financial meetings, prepare the quotations for the internal projects and to fulfill all the requirement of projects.Implement the external and internal communication.Ensure that legal and statutory requirement are compiled in daily operation.Review financial reports related to transport & workshop division.Control variations and communication of foreseeable changes related to transport activities & resources.About you:For you to be successful you will need to have the following:Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree.An understanding of Lean ManufacturingExperienced with several systems.Working knowledge of several of other areas of specialization.Good command of English & Arabic languages.Basic knowledge of MS Office tools.Must be willing to work in UmSaeed / Assigned work location.Fresh graduate.Must be Qatari/ Qatari Mother.About Al-Awalia:Qatar Primary Materials Company was established in 2006 with the objective of ensuring the steady and reliable supply of primary construction materials to the local construction industry.
