Quantity Surveyor

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Quantity Surveyors ensure infrastructure / building projects remain within budget. They provide cost and material estimates, draw up projected budgets, and work alongside a team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost. Quantity surveyors often liaise with builders, architects, engineers, and other contractors.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will workprepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and timeprepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the clientnegotiate contracts and work schedulesallocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the constructionperform risk, value management and cost control during constructionundertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project workadvise on a procurement strategyIdentify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risksProvide advice on contractual claims and disputesAnalyse outcomes and write detailed progress reportsvalue completed work, oversee bills and arrange paymentsmaintain awareness of the different building contracts in current useunderstand the implications of health and safety regulations.KEY QUALIFICATIONS:Min 6-7 years experience with infra/building contractor backgroundCandidates MUST be Immediately available and based in the UAEDone payment applications and certifications. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Sound knowledge of construction.Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.Great networking abilities.Vertical: Engineering
