General Labor/Helper - Commercial Construction

Job DescriptionSummary of Position: The General Laborer will assist with general labor duties to support their team to complete jobs such as facility improvements, remodels, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Equipment Installations.Job Responsibilities: Perform work under the direction of a Manager or Team Lead to assist on the job site with tasks that will facilitate the team completing building or equipment repairs, demolition, removal and/or installation of equipment, and general construction tasksThis Will InvolveDriving a box truck or assisting with safetyMoving EquipmentCleaning the jobsiteAssist with Carpentry, Electrical, plumbing and HVAC projectsUnderstanding of jobsite protocols specific to project and siteMaintaining a clean and safe work environmentUse of basic tools and the ability to install or assemble by following instructionsHeavy lifting, standing, bending, reaching and climbing laddersWorking a flexible schedule of days, nights, or weekendsPerforming the job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Will utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Will be proactive in alerting Management of any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries.Ability to manage time and prioritize. Must follow special instructions and schedules.Maintaining a clean and professional appearanceRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job.Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures·Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVACDemonstrated ability to use hand tools.Demonstrated ability to manage timeComputer skillsGeneral knowledge of all tradesMust have reliable transportation, valid driver’s licenseMust have a valid email addressMinimum QualificationsMust possess own tools (specialty tools provided as needed)Excellent verbal and written skillsExtremely Organized18 years of age or olderMust be able to pass a drug testMust be able to pass a background checkAccess to reliable transportation to reach customer locationsDependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekendsAbility to travel 75-100% of timePhysical Demands: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
