Job Summary: As the Regional Sales Director (RSD) for the Middle East Power & Utilities market, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve a $5 million annual quota. This role is vital to our organization's growth and expansion in the region. The RSD will be responsible for generating profitable sales growth through new business development and expanding the customer base across the region. The role will work closely with product management, marketing, engineering and operational teams. The position is responsible for identification, project pursuit and order conversion within the region. The role is responsible for developing regional sales and channel strategies in line with company objectives while planning and directing the organization’s marketing, sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. The role supports order fulfilment activities, governs customer satisfaction within the area, and maintains up-to-date market intelligence and utilizes advanced customer relationship tools. Key Responsibilities: Revenue Growth : Grow the current business to a $5 million annual sales quota, continuously monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary. Sales Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate the Middle East market effectively, identifying opportunities, trends, and customer segments. New Business Development : Identify and target new business opportunities, including expanding our customer base and diversifying product offerings. Market Expansion : Explore opportunities to expand our market presence through partnerships, acquisitions, or strategic alliances. Channel Management: Direct and oversee the organization’s channel sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. Set short and long term channel sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy to expand and optimize the network of channel partners, ensuring they effectively represent and distribute our products. Operational Excellence Management- Support the Power Instruments OpEx Team to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery, order fulfillment and service to our Middle Eastern customers. Customer Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Market Analysis : Stay updated on industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making Sales Forecasting : Prepare accurate sales forecasts, monitor progress against targets, and take proactive measures to ensure on-track performance. Reporting and Documentation : Maintain detailed records of sales activities, prepare regular reports, and communicate progress to senior management. Marketing : Create effective marketing strategies and promotional activities including product presentations, representing at exhibitions and conferences targeting profitable growth in the Middle East market Client Relationships : Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Negotiation and Contracts : Skillfully negotiate sales agreements, pricing structures, and contracts, ensuring the company's interests are protected Compliance : Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Minimum Qualifications : Master’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field. Proven ability to manage a complex territory with over $10M in annual business Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales quotas, preferably in industrial sales. Demonstrated ability to significantly grow market share, revenue and profit in the Middle East Region Minimum of 15 years of Sales experience in the industrial instrumentation or similar field. Minimum of 15 years of Sales experience in the Middle East market, India or Africa Minimum of 15 years of Sales management with a distributor channel for hardware sales Strong understanding of the industrial and Power sectors and market dynamics in the Middle East. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using CRM and sales tracking software. Fluent in English required, multilingual would be a plus. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and be able to speak comfortably to groups Must be based in UAE / Saudi Arabia Ability to travel within the Middle East region as needed – estimated travel 60-70% of the time History of delivering profitable revenue growth and achieving performance targets Operate independently and partner with both internal and channel stakeholders to drive key sales activities Fluid user of MS Office and sales management tools (Salesforce.com) Desired Qualifications: Strong professional network in the Middle East industrial sector. A deep understanding of cultural nuances and business practices in the Middle East.
