Financial Controller

Role PurposeTo maintain proper books of accounts in compliance with IFRS.Maintain strong quality control environment by ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures.Provide timely information to support efficient decision making.Job Accountabilities & ActivitiesMaintain the General Ledger in accordance with laid down accounting procedures and policies under IFRS and submit to finance manager for review on monthly basis. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of all books for accounts.Highlight any exceptions and first time accounting issues and discuss them with the Finance Manager.Pass all necessary journals every period and produce for review and approval by the Finance Manager.Maintain strong internal control environment by ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures; and highlighting any deviation on timely basis and suggesting improvements.Ensure that financial books of accounts are always updated.Responsible for quality reporting to all stakeholders and suggesting improvements.Process all management information reports as and when required and ensure adequate and accurate data is maintained for such purposes.Carry out all banking transactions and create necessary paper work for such purposes, especially for negotiation of Letter of Credits, Open Letter of Credits, bank guarantees etc.Review the General Ledger and process rechargeable costs every period.Preparing the draft financial report every accounting period.Liaise with auditors and tax consultants to ensure all deadline are met.Report actual vs budget performance to all departments heads on monthly basis.Highlight and report monthly on key cost savings initiatives.Monitor and report of business costs very closely.Prepare budget and rolling forecast.Coordinate all reporting to Head office.Provide training and support to junior team member as and when needed.Any other task as assigned from time to time.Education & CertificationsBachelor degree in Commerce and Accounting.Required Years Of ExperienceAt least 5 to 7 years work exercise in a similar environment.Strong knowledge and experience of using SAP.Strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office products.
