About our client:Our Client operates in the Oil and Energy industry, with its headquarters rooted strongly in Saudi Arabia. It has its branches spread to more than 50 countries, providing employment to more than 68,500 people all over the world. They fall under the Fortune 500 Companies. They are one of the world’s largest oil producers. They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:You will be required to perform the following:Identify, collect, organize, and analyze energy data from various domestic sourcesDevelop robust short, medium, and long-term energy outlooks for Saudi Arabia as well as scenarios of relevance. Understand existing and future policies and regulations and evaluate their impact on the Kingdom’s energy outlook and implications to our client. Competently use energy/economic models and other statistical tools for scenario development, technology and policy assessments, and various research work. Stay current on relevant issues and trends within the energy sector. Review policy drafts and propose suggestions to improve the effects of existing policies. Participate in developing strategic plans by collaborating with various departments in the Company. Conduct studies on the impact of our client actions in energy intensive sectors in Saudi Arabia, in order to understand the impact of Company plans on the Kingdom’s energy consumption. Present the analysis to corporate management. Provide periodic internal publications on developments in key energy sectors in Saudi Arabia Participate in the training, development, and mentoring of junior staff. Requirements:As the successful candidate you will have the following:Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Environmental Science or related specialty from a leading universityMaster’s Degree in Energy Economics, Public or Energy Policy, or a related field. 10 years of experience of working in the field of energy and policy analysis. Ability to work in multi-cultural and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to produce high quality reports, studies, and presentations. Ability to deal effectively with other staff and with external stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure with short deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
