Job Description

Position: QA/QC ManagerLocation: DammamDepartment: Quality ManagementJob Type: Full-TimeObjectiveThe QA/QC Manager will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with API, ISO, and other relevant standards, ensuring product quality and continuous improvement within the organization’s operations.RequirementsPrincipal AccountabilitiesQMS Oversight: Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with API6A, API16A, API16C, ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, CE PED/2014/68/EU, and other environmental standards. Quality Policy and Objectives: Define and communicate the quality policy and objectives, ensuring they align with the strategic direction of the organization. Business Integration: Integrate QMS requirements into the company’s business processes. Resource Management: Allocate necessary resources to support the QMS effectively. Quality Assurance Communication: Promote the importance of quality management and adherence to QMS requirements. Internal Audits: Plan and conduct internal audits, analyze results, and implement corrective actions as needed. Management Reviews: Organize and lead Management Review Meetings (MRM), reporting QMS performance to top management. Quality Awareness: Foster organization-wide awareness of quality standards and customer requirements. Non-Conformities: Initiate actions to prevent nonconformists and manage changes effectively. Personnel Training: Identify and coordinate training needs for QA/QC personnel. Standards Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date standards and specifications within the QMS framework. Performance Monitoring: Manage and update KPIs and quality objectives, ensuring continuous improvement. Third-Party Interaction: Coordinate with third-party inspectors (TPI) and manage related quotations, deliverables, invoices, and audits. Customer and Supplier Interaction: Handle customer complaints, field nonconformist, supplier audits, and support quality documentation processes. AuthoritiesApprove critical documents and procedures such as COC, DOC, supplier approvals, and product release. Hold production activities in the event of quality issues. Liaise directly with API and other regulatory bodies. Authorize training, calibration plans, and the use of API monogram stamping. Key CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of API, ASME, PED, ISO, and other international standards. Proficient in NDT Level II methods including Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Liquid Penetrant Testing. Strong decision-making, planning, and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. BenefitsPre-RequisitesMinimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance capacity. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in a related field. Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of QHSE systems across operational processes. Conduct supplier audits in coordination with the Purchasing Department. Provide customer support on quality issues, documentation, and complaints. Deliver QMS awareness training internally. Actively promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
