Position: Sales Engineer – Home Automation Systems

Location: Maadi, Cairo

Job Overview:

The Sales Engineer will play a key role in driving sales efforts for our home automation systems. This individual will work closely with the sales team, customers, and internal engineering teams to provide technical expertise, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of home automation systems and a customer-focused approach to sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales team to support sales opportunities and understand customer needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for clients, showcasing the functionality and benefits of home automation solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultative support during the sales process, helping customers understand system integration possibilities.
  • Design and propose customized solutions based on client requirements.
  • Create and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and specifications for home automation systems.
  • Provide ongoing technical support for customers throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth system integration and installation.
  • Stay updated on the latest home automation trends, products, and technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical queries as they arise.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical sales or systems integration role, preferably in home automation, IoT, or smart building technologies.
  • Strong understanding of home automation systems, protocols (e.g., KNX, DALI, Zigbee, Z-Wave), and integration.
  • Experience with HVAC, lighting control, security systems, and energy management solutions
  • Familiarity with system design tools and CAD software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for product demonstrations and installations.


 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software tools like Home Assistant, Crestron, or KNX ETS.
  • Certifications in smart home technologies or related fields.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards for home automation systems.
