Job Description
Our client is expanding its Azure Infrastructure Buildout, covering Linux ABSL, Reporting, EcoManager, and Lionrock/Quota RP scopes. This managed-service role focuses on developing Power BI reports, identifying data gaps, and instrumenting the platform to provide visibility into NewTech and BSL timelines, issues, and scope. You will join a team of two Senior and two Middle Power BI and SQL SDEs to design and deliver data-driven insights and ensure data quality across multiple teams.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience building and maintaining Power BI reports;
- Proficiency in Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), Application Insights, and SQL for data analysis;
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve data quality issues across distributed systems;
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and presenting insights.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics workspaces;
- Development skills (preferably C#) to modify and instrument code for additional data collection;
- Previous experience with NewTech or BSL platforms;
- Knowledge of data engineering best practices and ETL processes;
- Basic scripting ability in Python or PowerShell to automate data validation;
- Managed-service or “follow-the-sun” support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards that surface NewTech and BSL metrics, timelines, and issues;
- Write Kusto/AppInsights/SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data sources;
- Instrument existing C# codebase to capture missing telemetry or logging information as needed;
- Identify, investigate, and drive resolution of data quality gaps by collaborating with engineering and support teams;
- Produce concise documentation for report definitions, data lineage, and known data limitations;
- Participate in weekly (or as-needed) status meetings (up to 22:00 CET, 1-2 times a week) to review progress, roadblocks, and upcoming deliverables.
