Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, slings, rigging gear) in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., ASME B30, EN 13000)
Verify equipment certifications, maintenance records, and load capacity limitations
Review lifting plans and procedures for potential risks and ensure compliance with safe lifting practices
Inspect rigging configurations, ensuring proper selection, use, and capacity of slings, shackles, and other lifting gear
Witness and oversee lifting operations, identifying and addressing any safety concerns
Investigate incidents and near-misses related to lifting activities to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures
Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation
Participate in developing and implementing lifting safety programs and procedures
Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced personnel on safe lifting practices
Stay up-to-date on the latest lifting technologies, regulations, and best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field
At least 5 years of experience in Lifting Equipment Inspection and Certification
Certifications in Lifting Equipment Inspection, such as LEEA, ASNT, AWS, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and standards such as ASME B30, OSHA 1910.179, and EN 13001
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluency in English and Arabic

Ability to travel and work in different locations as needed
