Job Description
1. Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or applicable accounting standards.
2. General Ledger Management:
Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger.
Ensure all entries are accurate and supported by proper documentation.
3. Month-End and Year-End Closing:
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
4. Tax Compliance:
Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax, etc.).
Ensure adherence to tax regulations and deadlines.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management.
6. Team Leadership and Mentoring:
Guide and support junior accountants in daily operations.
Ensure proper training and development of the accounting team.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
