Job Description
- Design and implement database in accordance to end users’ information needs and views
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
- Ensure that database information is always available to all users in a form that suits their needs.
- Ensure that data is available only to authorized users.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
- To be prepared for any type of recovery, the DBA needs to develop a backup strategy to ensure that data is not lost in the event of an error in software, hardware, or a manual process.
- Responsible for managing the migration from release to release of the DBMS.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
- Oracle DBA certified
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
