Job Description

  • Lighting Products Sales Engineer  
  • Location: Cairo, Egypt  
  • Department: Sales & Engineering  
  • Reports to: CEO


Role Overview  

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive business growth in our lighting solutions division. This role bridges engineering expertise with client engagement, ensuring tailored product recommendations, seamless project execution, and long-term customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities  
 

  •  Client Consultation: Understand customer needs and propose optimal lighting solutions (indoor/outdoor, architectural, commercial).  
  •  Technical Sales Support: Present product specifications, photometric data, and CAD layouts to clients and consultants.  
  •  Portfolio Presentation: Deliver compelling presentations using datasheets, visual mockups, and ROI analysis.  
  •  Project Coordination: Liaise with design, procurement, and installation teams to ensure timely delivery and technical compliance.  
  •  Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor offerings, pricing trends, and new technologies in LED and smart lighting.  
  •  Documentation: Prepare quotations, BOQs, and technical submittals aligned with project requirements.  
  •  CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions using ERP/CRM tools.


Qualifications  
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.  
  •  7+ years experience in lighting systems, LED technologies, or technical sales.  
  •  Strong command of AutoCAD, Dialux, Excel, and ERP platforms.  
  •  Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent communication and presentation skills.


Preferred Skills  

  •  Familiarity with flexible LED modules, Drivers, and smart control protocols (DALI, KNX).  
  •  Experience sourcing from branded manufacturers and evaluating product quality.  
  •  Ability to interpret architectural drawings and integrate lighting seamlessly.  
  •  Passion for branding, client experience, and visual storytelling.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
