About the role:
National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security and Network Administrator to join our growing IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical systems and contribute to the protection and optimization of our national IT infrastructure.
We are looking for a proactive, technically capable, and detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience managing enterprise-level security appliances and advanced network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) for load balancing and application availability.
- Administer F5 APM (Access Policy Manager) for secure, granular user access control and SSO.
- Manage, maintain, and monitor Forcepoint Next-Generation Firewalls, including policy enforcement and threat detection.
- Handle FortiGate Firewall configuration, updates, VPN setup, and UTM features.
- Conduct regular network and security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Implement security best practices in line with enterprise IT governance and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with IT and application teams to ensure secure, optimized infrastructure performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor logs and performance metrics; respond to security incidents and alerts.
- Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network and security administration roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- F5 LTM & F5 APM
- Forcepoint Next-Gen Firewalls
- FortiGate Firewalls
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).
- Experience in configuring and maintaining VPNs, SSL/TLS certificates, and IDS/IPS.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, and incident response procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Professional certifications are a plus:
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (or equivalent)
- Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) Certification
- Forcepoint Certified Professional
- CCNA/CCNP Security
