Job Description
- Review all tender documents, specs, drawings and create BOQ
- Conduct comparison studies for suppliers and subcontractors’ quotations and develop breakdown cost estimations in response to the specific requirements.
- create commercial and technical proposals to ensure prompt and accurate compliance with the requirements.
- Develop comprehensive civil work scopes, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Collaborate with the design team to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant civil engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and resource allocations.
- Provide technical support during the preliminary meetings.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of cost data, market trends, and subcontractor/supplier performance.
- follow up on materials required.
- To review vendors and suppliers quotations to determine the best price and delivery date.
- Prepare comparative analyses documents related to specs, price, delivery conditions and mode of transportation.
- Engaged in the preparation & compilation of the necessary documents, information & technical inputs required for the completion of tender documentation.
- Data analysis.
- Accurately measure quantities and apply pricing in an Excel table.
- Put pricing criteria for non-typical item.
- Checking the availability of manufacturing.
- Update typical products prices.
- Preparing reports for the project items to clarify any missed supporting ingredients for pricing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven experience in technical office works, quantity surveying, tendering and cost estimation to prepare tender packages (BOQ, specifications and quantities) for all types of projects.
- good knowledge in project planning and scheduling and progress follow-up.
- +5 years minimum of experience in construction and industrial facilities projects
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Revit
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering, construction methods, and market trends
- Strong knowledge of civil subcontractors, suppliers, and material prices
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- working using CAD ASD is preferable.
