Job Description
Develop and Lead Quality Strategy:
- Design and implement strategic plans to enhance quality control systems and processes.
- Align quality initiatives with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Establish Quality Standards:
- Define quality benchmarks, metrics, and KPIs for products, services, and operations.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), FDA regulations, GMP, or other relevant guidelines depending on the industry.
Lead Quality Team:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance and quality control professionals.
- Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Audit & Compliance:
- Conduct internal audits and manage external audits from clients or regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies to eliminate defects and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze quality data and lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and deviations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Service teams to integrate quality into all business functions.
- Serve as the quality representative in executive-level discussions.
Vendor & Supplier Quality Oversight:
- Establish supplier quality requirements and monitor vendor performance through audits and assessments.
- Address quality issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Monitor and respond to customer complaints and feedback.
- Drive improvements based on voice-of-customer insights.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a must.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in quality management, with at least 15 years in a leadership role .
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving quality initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., Minitab, QMS software, ERP systems).
- Industry-specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, aerospace) is a plus.
