Job Description
- The hospital manager works with administrators to plan and coordinate the health services of a hospital.
- He supervises all areas of a hospital, including physicians, health information technicians, nursing, medical records and more.
- He creates many reports to analyze the effectiveness of various departments and work to reach financial goals and maintain budgets.
- Attend the hospital meetings of (medical care, pharmacy, quality committee, operational, safety and infection control) to facilitate open channels of communication and aid in issue resolution.
- Work closely with medical staff to establish an accountability framework for physicians that addresses ethical, legal and fiscal responsibilities.
- Understand Is engaged in capacity building and accountable for employees turnover rate
- Be involved with the hospital physician recruitment processes.
- Assist the Department Heads in the performance appraisal process for members of the medical staff
- Apply legal procedures that is related to patients’ rights, while facilitating the patients’ choice of physician.
- He works to improve the efficiency of care, keeps up-to-date on new laws, represents the facility at governing boards and organizes the records of facility services.
- Has a deep understanding of all administrative hospital procedures, from creating work schedules and communicating with doctors to budgeting and maintaining supplies stock.
- Using organizational and leadership skills to supervise employees and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Being responsible for making sure our hospital operations run smoothly.
- Monitor expenses and suggest cost-effective alternatives
- Create quarterly and annual budgets
- Develop and implement effective policies for all operational procedures
- Prepare work schedules
- Maintain organized medical and employee records
- Monitor administrative staff’s performance
- Train new employees
- Ensure prompt ordering and stocking of medical and office supplies
- Answer queries from doctors, nurses and healthcare staff
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Medicine & MBA are mandatory.
- +15 to 20 years experience.
- Management experience in a health/medical field is essential.
- 5-7 years of experience in Medical Managerial field in the same industry.
