Job Description

  • Manage spare parts forecasting and assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
  • Advise the management team regarding the availability of spare parts, options, and consumables against backlog.
  • Place purchase orders (PO) within agreed cost, lead time and stockholding parameters.
  • Monitor order progress and expedite inbound spare parts.
  • Resolve any queries regarding delivery discrepancies, damages, late arrivals, and missing deliveries.
  • Take follow up actions in relation to shortage of spare-parts that affect operation schedule.
  • Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a regular and/or quarterly physical inventory and proper counter procedures.
  • Recommend improved practices, methods, and procedures to increase efficiency, quality, and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Create regular statistical reports, graphic analysis, and dashboard related to spare-parts forecast, orders, consumption, and shortage.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality of data management.
  • Support in developing annual spare-parts department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, Educational Engineering is highly preferred.
  • A minimum 3-5 years of experience in spare-parts planning activities in a large size continuous operations.
  • Excellent level of English both written & verbal.
  • Strong experience in using MS Office, Microsoft Power BI is preferable.
  • Experience in continuous operational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
  • Thorough understanding of how a successful supply chain operation works.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze, significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
