About the role:The Informatica Metadata Developer will be responsible for driving enterprise metadata management and governance by implementing and managing Informatica solutions. This role ensures data quality, lineage tracking, and metadata standardization across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Metadata Management & Governance
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Axon.
- Develop and enforce metadata management standards to ensure consistency and governance.
- Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide Data Dictionary and metadata repository.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data lineage, policies, and glossaries.
- Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and best practices.
Technical Implementation & Support
- Configure and manage Informatica EDC, Axon, and Data Quality (IDQ) tools.
- Implement automated metadata workflows and lineage tracking processes.
- Create and modify IDQ workflows to enhance data quality and validation.
- Perform technical metadata onboarding and ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems.
- Monitor metadata environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with data governance teams, business analysts, and IT teams to align metadata strategies with business needs.
- Provide training and support for metadata tools and processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in metadata management and Informatica solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with Informatica metadata tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ).
- Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
- Experience in configuring and implementing metadata automation workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing tools, and integration technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
