Actuarial Analyst

-The Actuarial Analyst will provide strategic, commercial, and underwriting advice by evaluating and managing underwriting risks associated with policies. The incumbent will be responsible to analyze statistical data and construct probability tables to forecast risk and liability for the portfolio.

• Carries out pricing calculations for proposed new tenders for the Group business, re-pricing of existing business, and review relevant documents in a timely manner, having regard to risks accepted and maintaining document quality.
• Develops, maintains and supervises/uses generic pricing models and quotation database.
• Conducts quantitative and qualitative research into medical and trauma related events to ensure insurance products are priced accurately and relevant parties informed of future product development trends. 
• Recommends pricing that meets corporate profitability targets, including negotiated exceptions up to the level of delegated authority. 
• Manages quotation process for reinsurance tenders and campaigns and supports negotiations
• Maintains case files of insurance products and scheme pricing decisions and assumptions.
• Gathers and analyzes background information and statistical data to determine probability of risks or financial impact
• Adjusts value of policy when risk is substandard and specify applicable endorsements or apply rating to ensure safe profitable distribution of risks, using reference materials.  Computes results for appropriate premiums using actuarial information and other statistics.
• Determines policy contract provisions and specifying conditions to be imposed for all types of insurance. 
•  Keeps detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made.
•  Assists in the development of new products.
•  Assures continuous technical profitability to risk carriers (insurance & reinsurance companies).
•  Provides continuous and effective visibility to risk carriers on their portfolio status
•  Pricing Review/Analysis/Development. 
•  Provides early warnings and issue recommendations on corrective measures.
