Job Description
- Interview prospective suppliers either face-to-face or over the phone to determine prices, discounts, terms, etc and negotiate to get the best prices.
- Prepare, maintain, review purchasing files and records, price lists, the status of requisitions, contracts and orders.
- Locate suppliers and alternative suppliers for all required tools, equipment's, spare parts, locally manufactured material,…etc.
- Oversee the full array of materials management and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting shipping, receipt, and logistics for foreign ordered materials.
- Execute the purchase requests and assure the requester satisfaction and that the required goods are perfectly received.
- Support, and in some cases lead, cost reduction efforts.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and procurement (preferred in aluminium/wood/construction field)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Familiar with Excel and Microsoft office
