Job Description

Procurement Planning

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to determine material, equipment, and service needs.
  • Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project timelines and budgets.

 Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate terms (price, payment, delivery), and finalize purchase agreements.
  • Maintain an approved supplier database.

Purchasing Execution

  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and approved budgets.
  • Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery to site.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation.

Cost & Quality Control

  • Ensure best value procurement by comparing suppliers on price, quality, availability, and reliability.
  • Monitor material usage and stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control/Engineering for technical approval of materials.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date procurement logs, delivery schedules, supplier contracts, and warranty documents.
  • Handle customs clearance or import documentation (if applicable).

Coordination

  • Coordinate with storekeepers, logistics, and site teams for delivery, inspection, and storage.
  • Communicate with finance team for invoice approvals and payments.

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum [6] years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in Mechanical Equipment, piping , steel structure construction.

Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and vendor markets.

Familiar with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
