- Sustainability & ESG Strategy Implementation: Implements sustainability strategies aligned with corporate priorities, ESG frameworks, and the UN SDGs. Supports the development and localization of these strategies, ensuring effective execution across business units, subsidiaries, and regional contexts.
- Budget Management & Sustainability Accounting: Manages the budgeting and financial tracking of sustainability and CSV initiatives. Ensures cost-effectiveness, transparent use of resources, and alignment with Group financial controls. Supports ESG-related financial disclosures and reporting in accordance with sustainability accounting standards.
- CSV & Program Management: Manages the planning, execution, and monitoring of Creating Shared Value (CSV) programs that generate measurable benefits for both business and communities. Collaborates with NGOs, social enterprises, and partners to deliver high-impact, locally relevant initiatives.
- Sustainability Reporting & Compliance: Owns ESG and sustainability reporting processes and toolkits, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Drives timely execution by maintaining data accuracy, meeting submission deadlines, and monitoring key performance indicators such as carbon footprint, diversity metrics, and Social Return on Investment (SROI).
- Subsidiary Engagement & Support: Supports regional and subsidiary teams in aligning local sustainability activities with the Group’s overarching strategy. Provides tools, templates, and capacity-building support to ensure consistent, effective, and contextually relevant implementation across all markets.
- Community & Partnership Coordination: Assesses and develops propositions for partnerships with community organizations, NGOs, and development agencies, obtaining Chief Marketing, PR & Comms Officer approval. Coordinates initiatives that advance the Group’s social impact goals and build sustainable, long-term relationships.
- Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates closely with internal teams—including Marketing, PR, HR, Legal, HSE, Compliance, Audit, Finance, and core business units—to embed sustainability into operations, processes, and communications. Fosters shared responsibility and promote cross-functional integration to drive sustainability objectives.
- Risk Identification & Materiality Assessment: Identifies ESG-related risks and contributes to materiality assessments. Supports the integration of these findings into strategic planning, reporting, and stakeholder disclosures.
- External Representation & Knowledge Sharing: Participates in sustainability forums, industry working groups, and external events. Represents the function in line with approved messaging and contributes to knowledge sharing and benchmarking efforts.
- Training & Culture Awareness: Delivers and sources sustainability training and awareness campaigns to build knowledge and foster engagement throughout the organization.
- Individual Performance and Development: Delivers on annual KPIs and implements the agreed training and development plan, actively seeking managerial support to achieve personal and professional growth.
- Team Performance and Development: Guides and supports direct reports to foster a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. Sets clear objectives, provides ongoing feedback, and supports career development and upskilling.
