Job Description
- Lead the design and review of PLC and automation systems for oil & gas facilities.
- Supervise the development of control system architectures, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS integrations.
- Ensure compliance with Fire & Gas (F&G), safety, and project-specific standards.
- Manage a team of automation engineers and coordinate technical office deliverables.
- Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning processes.
- Evaluate and select control hardware and software platforms based on project requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers.
- Ensure proper documentation, revision control, and timely delivery of project milestones.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in PLC and automation systems, preferably in oil & gas projects.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley).
- Strong knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with F&G systems and process safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508/61511).
- Hands-on experience in project engineering, technical review, and commissioning.
