Job Description
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of the QC team, including chemists, lab analysts, and technicians.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and testing protocols.
- Ensure all materials and products are tested according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Approve raw material and product releases based on analytical results and compliance.
- Investigate non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow up on resolution.
- Monitor and analyze trends in product quality, test data, and lab performance metrics.
- Oversee calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with production, R&D, QA, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits as needed.
- Train and develop QC staff to maintain technical competence and awareness of best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Food Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in quality control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, laboratory instruments, and quality systems (e.g., ISO, GMP, HACCP).
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
