Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of inpatient and outpatient prescriptions
- Enter prescription data into hospital information systems
- Manage stock supplies, including ordering, receiving, and shelving
- Prepare unit dose medications and IV admixtures under supervision
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Answer patient or nurse queries, directing them to the pharmacist when needed
- Maintain records and prepare routine pharmacy reports
Job Requirements
- Certificate or diploma in Pharmacy Assistance or relevant field
- Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and medical terminology
- Strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality
- Team player with strong work ethic
