Job Description
The clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients; a working knowledge of pharmacokinetics by assisting physicians and staff pharmacist in drug-dose relationships; for providing the hospital with a safe and effective way of monitoring drugs to avoid the potential for any toxic reaction
- Review and evaluate patient medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
- Provide expert advice to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on drug selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Assist in monitoring patients’ responses to medications and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to optimize drug therapy and dosing regimens.
- Educate patients and healthcare staff on proper medication use and potential adverse effects.
- Participate in developing and implementing hospital policies on safe medication use and storage.
- Monitor for and prevent adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
- Maintain accurate records of medication histories, dispensing, and clinical interventions.
- Stay current with new medications, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- Proven experience as a clinical pharmacist
- Work license is required
- Pharm D program, Clinical diploma, or American Board is a must.
- Giza residency is prefer
