Job Description
- Provide exceptional customer service for all tours and business operations for Luxor & Aswan and other cities that may be assigned from time to another depending on the company strategy & requirements.
- Communicate daily with prospective customers, guests, and partnering clients via phone and email.
- Solve any post-tour issues with guests, partnering establishments, tour guides, etc.
- Act as a lead backup tour guide, plan quarterly employee wellness events, etc.
- Remotely manage a team of tour guides via phone, email, and in-person.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new operations employees & run monthly staff meetings.
- Plan quarterly employee wellness events.
- Maintain office operations and procedures.
- Build good relationships with tour suppliers & vendors.
- Manage tour calendar including booking private tours.
- Coordinate with partnering pub destinations about upcoming tours and guest numbers.
- Help improve guest experience on existing tours.
- Communicate a range of information on itineraries, destinations and culture.
- Develop a specialist area of knowledge.
- Use professional knowledge to answer questions from holiday makers and fulfill their expectations of the tour.
- Make sure all travel arrangements run according to the plan and that the activities, meals and services are satisfactory.
- Ensure that the tour is running smoothly for individual members of the group.
- Respond to questions and offer help with any problems that arise, ranging from simple matters, such as directing a member of the group to the nearest chemist, to more serious issues, such as tracing lost baggage.
- Deal with emergencies, such as helping a holiday maker who is ill or those needing to contact family members urgently.
- Organize and attend tourism events, conferences, workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
- Write reports and maintain records, provide feedback after a tour as part of a debrief session.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field.
- Willing to relocate to Luxor and Aswan based on job requirements.
- Very good English Level.
- Maximum Age 40.
- Five or more years of proven experience in tourism field.
- Strong budget development and oversight skills.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
- Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Knowledge of general business software and an aptitude for learning new applications.
- Flexible to work in different working shifts / hours based on work requirements.
