Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
The Internal Communications Specialist role is responsible for creating and implementing internal/employee and recruiting communications content and contributing to programs that actively engage internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Specialist translates business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and executes and drives programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams, and shape culture.
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute communications plans, strong writing skills, and a natural ability to think strategically while delivering tactical results. This role will lead the internal communications between cross-functional units and be able to deliver action plans, and internal event executions in addition to being the main stakeholder in publishing internal communications such as internal newsletters, announcements, bulletins, and much more.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1- Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision.
2- Helps create a best-in-class internal communications function across the firm that fuels employee engagement, and influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting all offices.
3- Develops communication materials using a variety of tactics to articulate key messages.
4- Execute action plans with cross-functional units within a certain time frame.
5- Work with the Marketing Director to publish timely company information, such as internal newsletters, bulletins, announcements, and other company directives.
6- Submit monthly and quarterly reports measuring the results of communication efforts.
7- Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate, and integrated with firm priorities and themes.
8- Adjust communication plan as needed.
9- Suggest what information should be presented to employees.
10- Coordinate with HR related to employees branding and internal marketing activities related to social media and employees engagements.
11- Support ideas with research and experience. Initiate (Ideation Center) along with HR support.
12- Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing, and education.
13- Ensure consistent framing of messages.
14- Publish videos and photography on the company website, Social Media platforms, and blogs.
15- Edit and revise content as necessary.
16- Create  and manage the content repository between all cross functions related.
17- Edit, design, and print internal publications.
 

Job Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of relevant communications experience; work experience in IT software house companies, startups, or other professional services firms is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated previous experience in writing and editing marketing content; experience with web and digital content preferred.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in using Design applications
    • Proven evidence in content creation and producing out-of-the-box tech content that impacts internally the communication message needed to be delivered.

    • Possesses outstanding oral and written communications skills including superior writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the business needs of the firm.
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Time management skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
    • Passionate: Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups.
    • Consistently demonstrates strong business acumen and judgment.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Willingness to build relationships and collaborate across the broader Marketing and Business Development team, with the firm’s HR, Diversity & Inclusion, Alumni Relations, talent acquisition, and other teams.
    • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels.
